Yesterday, Wednesday, 23 February, the Executive Boards of both BelOrta and BFV approved a declaration of intent aimed at more intense collaboration and integration.

BelOrta will begin packing its Belgian strawberries in new packaging this week. These Tray2Tray punnets are made of recycled raw materials. And they, in turn, are 100% recyclable. Consumers can recognize these punnets by a special logo. BelOrta's taking the next step in increasingly sustainable production and distribution. That's together with Fost Plus and Infia. This move contributes to a circular economy. This is significant. Recent figures show Belgians are eating more and more locally grown strawberries.

This morning BelOrta sold the first green bell peppers of 2021. Buyer Legu-Fruits bought the first green peppers, supplied by producer Didier Algoet (Lentsche Heyde).
