BelOrta

‘Bel’ refers to Belgian and the local roots that the market gardeners have, but it also refers to ‘belle’, that familiar French word for ‘beautiful’. ‘Orta’ stands for horticulture, the cultivation of fruit and vegetables. The ‘O’ in the middle of the logo symbolises the cooperation between the two auctions, the merging of know-how.

2016 - Enhancing the range of fruit

As the summer of 2016 drew to a close, it became known that BelOrta would be taking over the marketing of the fruit from those Haspengouw Auction growers that would be making the transition.

It was agreed between both boards that Haspengouw Auction growers who wished to make the transition would be offered the opportunity, an offer that around three quarters of the growers from Haspengouw Auction simply could not refuse.

Thanks to this collaboration, BelOrta can expand its fruit family and we hope that we will be in a stronger position in the seasons to come. Also, the club varieties, Kanzi®, Migo® and Greenstar® will be part of BelOrta portfolio.

BelOrta fruit and vegetables, refreshingly pleasant

BelOrta: it stands for fruit and vegetables from around the corner. After all, they come freshly plucked from growers close to home. What’s more, BelOrta offers you an exceptionally wide selection, always and everywhere.

BelOrta is and always will be a real cooperative from, for and by the member growers. We work closely together with one aim in mind: offering you top-quality fruit and vegetables every single day. We feel closely involved every step of the way, and so we can offer 100% transparency. You can rely on us.

BelOrta may well be on our doorstep, but we’re prepared to go that extra mile for the very best quality. In everything we do, commitment and sustainability are our priority.

Above all, BelOrta adds flavour to every day with its fruit and vegetables. Healthy, fresh and above all scrumptious. It’s how we bring pure pleasure right into your home. Or how we turn every meal, big or small, into a feel-good moment.
